Its funny how there are quite a few pictures of the chi-town hustler and jungle jim and all those other guys but no pictures of their first race cars like the cars jungle drove before he went out on his own or the Farkonas and Minick blown A/FX or Austin Coil's Plymouth Belvedere A/FX . It would be awesome for pictures like that to surface .

that would be Samson Dart, owned by Richard Guess  of Goodies Speed Ive got one from 1965 at Fremont (RIP), but need to upload it to Picture in a bucket or chicken in a bucket or where ever the hell its goin!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
in fact Ive got one with Jungle in the ChiTown Hustler,
and yeah there is one of the AFX in this pile...
Im workin on it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
stupid posting thing!!!!!!!!!!

Bill Dee, were you involved in this fiasco ?

yep..the beginning of it...
after that pic I called Dale "Team Car" Al saw NO humor in it.
That was our first Mustang ll; the rebodied Bill Lawton Pinto that rolled across pension, Road E.Town(on the roof)
After the World Finals 74,Joe decided to stay in Ca,since the streets are lined with gold and all....
That car / rebuild was 1 race old. We all went to Epping's Sept. race, finnishing the thing in the staging lanes.
It went to World Finals and NEVER came home
We had been running my Pinto ,seen a few pics down in model box paint by Tom Nagy, identifiable by the big wheel bubbles and  my trademark header deflector /paint saver, I still run today.
Joe got Dale to drive at a  west coast match race. The newest Drag News scoop  -Steve Plueger was building Dale a seat so he could return the LA phone book to where he stole it from.
Al was burning down the phone .All Joe said at the time was he needed to run the car to make a few bucks and Pulde was avail. The next thing it was listed entered in Pamona with dale as driver..
Me.."hey Al,this mean Joe won't be sending our plane tickets to go out there"??

We got my Pinto back to Lindblad for the 3rd turn around  of 92 to 426 motor mounts, sold off everything I had to buy up some usable 426 parts.to get it ready for a return to Gainsville 75

Joe and Dale won Bakersfield with that car. It was later sold and the Monza built.I have no idea where this car went from there. It should be easy to identify with the Mini Ford Thunderbolt hood scoop wheel bubbles.

A couple of weeks ago someone mentioned a Gran Torino funny car after seeing Clint Eastwoods new movie.
I mentioned that Dale Creasy had one way back when and there is a pic of it near the top of this page. Notice the new "state of the art" tower under construction at Smokin' US 30.

That was me asking about the Gran Torino. It was actually said jokingly.I had seen the '69 Talladega style but I don't think anyone ever did a '72 style Gran Torino. Cool idea for Gredzo to create a one of a kind image. '<img'>
